Sprucing up your yard does not have to be overly complicated. Sod is an excellent low cost solution that can bring a property back to life.
When we install new sod the process is as follows:
Excavate area where new sod is going to be installed.
Install 3-4 inches of new top soil.
Grade yard to ensure proper drainage.
Compact topsoil.
Install new sod ensuring sod remains staggered between the joints.
Carefully roll sod with a sod roller (as illustrated in picture below) to aid in root formation.
Water, water, and more water.
Suggestion: If you do not have time to water your yard everyday to maintain your newly installed sod, we would then suggest incorporating a sprinkler system as this will ensure that your sod is getting water at the most optimal time everyday to ensure that your yard continues to look its best. If a sprinkler system is of interest, please let us know and we will work with your sprinkler system company of choice to ensure that the work goes smoothly from start to finish on your landscaping project.
